Every artisan has an incredible story of resilience and determination in a complex, often sexist, unjust, and unfortunate context. They live in what many consider a paradise, yet one that denies the people the opportunities they deserve, leaving them stuck in time and searching for recognition. The Barulera artisans found in their hands, creativity, and friendship a way to shout their identity to the world, creating a safe space from which to face reality stronger, more confident, and more authentic. As women, they dared to change their lives, and through this transformation, they generate a positive impact on future generations.
